COLD…WARM…HOT! Someone will have to make sure a children finds an hidden object leading him only with the words cold…warm…hot. Game instructions An object to hidden must be determined, a children is then blindfolded while another one hides accurately the object trying to be silent. Then the bandage is removed from the eyes of the children and the entire group of friends helps him to find the object by pronouncing the words cold…cold…if the children is distant from the object, warm…warm… if he is approaching the hiding place, hot…hot if he is very close. The children then began to rummage through that point of the room and when he will find the object all together will shout BOOM!

THE CAT AND THE MOUSE Game instructions The children will huddle round, holding hands. One of them inside the circle represents the mouse, one outside the cat. The cat says: Mouse, little mouse, what are you doing in my garden? The mouse answers: I eat cheese and I drink wine. The cat says: Do you know, that you are a titbit my dear little mouse? The mouse answers: But not for your little stomach. And…I slip away. The cat: And I will catch you! The children lift up the hands, allowing the mouse to exit from the circle. The mouse runs trying to escape from the cat. When the mouse is caught he becomes a cat and the game restarts.

THE PRETTY LITTLE LAUNDRESS Game instructions The children make a-ring-a-roses around the one which has chosen the role of the little laundress; they sing: The pretty little laundress Who washes the handkerchiefs For the poor things Of the town. Jump Jump again Make a twirl Make it again Look up Look down Give somebody you like a kiss! The little laundress follows the actions sung in the jingle, then chooses a children to kiss who becomes the little laundress of the next game.

THE MIRROR Game instructions Line up double, one in front of each other with a distance of about a meter. Gaze into each other’s eyes. After a moment of attention, following the indication of the animator, one of the two partners begins slowly to act a series of movements that the other must reproduce as in front of a mirror. The two keep gazing into the eyes. It is important to act using the entire body and involving also the expression. After a few minutes the roles are reversed.

BLIND’S MAN BLUFF Game instructions All the players are free to move in silence on the playground ( spacious without hindrances ) around a bandaged children, chosen by lot; they can provoke him , touching. The ‘blind’s man’ must try to catch one of the other players; who is touched cannot escape and take the place of the blind’s man.

THE FOUR CORNERS Game instructions It Is a classic game and it takes place in a squarely area. Four children line up on the square’s vertexes while the fifth one stands in the middle. At start the children began moving rapidly, changing position. The children in the middle must try to occupy a ‘vertex’ left empty by the others while moving. If he manages to, the children left without position will take his place and the game will restart. To choose who must stay in the middle, at the beginning of the game a counting or a draw could be done.

WITCH TOUCHING COLOR Game instructions The children are free to move in the area available. One of them is the witch. Before starting the game the ‘witch’ says: Witch commands color….red ( the color is chosen by the children who plays the witch) The children have to escape and to touch immediately something with the color the witch has announced. The children who is not fled into safety, touching the color, is caught, this way becoming witch; and the game restarts. Variant: instead of colors, the witch could also command objects of a particular shape ( for example all the round, or square objects…).

DO YOU LIKE YOUR NEIGHBOR? Game instructions Game to play all together. The children line up in the middle with the chairs. All are seated except one standing in the middle who must conquer a chair. The one in the middle asks to a seated children: Do you like your neighbor? If the children answers yes, the children seated on the right or left will get up. If the answer is negative, the children standing in the middle will ask: then whom do you like? And the children will answer: I like everybody who…wears black shoes (for example). Then all the children will stand up and change position while who is standing will try to conquer a chair.

ONE, TWO, THREE…STAR Game instructions One player chosen by lot is the ‘fairy’ and stands in a extreme part of the playground. The other players line up opposite to the fairy, on the other side of the playground (20 metres); they try to reach the fairy who has the eyes closed and is turning her back; suddenly she cries: ‘One two three star!’ The players surprised while moving have to return on the starting line. Who manages to touch first the fairy takes her place.

AN ELEPHANT Game instructions A children who has chosen the role of the elephant moves following the instruction of the nursery rhyme: An elephant, Was swaying, On a thread of the web And thinking that interesting, He called Another elephant… The children calls another children, holds his hand and they sing together: Two elephants were swaying …etc. And so on until all the children have been called.
